In RPGs what matters is the skill of the character not the player. All this aiming stuff plus this blinding of the character which as i see gets translated to blurring the screen for the player too (lol) like the player was blinded... have nothing to do with RPGs.

wow, just... wow. why are people always compairing games to world of war-craft.... its a stupid game anyways,plus,every game is different. And to top it all off,in world of war-craft,you basically just sit,click attack,and skill rape them, and then go on youtube calling every decent looking game a WoW copy. Did you notice you actually have to target in this game??? Or that this game you STRATEGICALLY use skills that can miss if you dont aim correctly.And, btw, their storys r compltly diffrent.

@FPSVaultHacks Agreed. all of their games lagg. have you plaied Bots? it must be the worst hack preventing game ever. 40% of its players had infinite hp and was hackers, becouse the antihack software was SO bad, a 1 year old could break in just by licking the mouse.

The game's not dead! Come and play it; just make sure to get the corrected installer from the forums- the file hosted from the official site is corrupted for some reason. But the game's worth it. The combat is awesome, the graphics are smooth, and the design is original. If you're tired of playing WoW clones or korean grindfests, this is the game for you. Seriously.

this game is currently dead in a sense since there will be absolutely no updates to it. You can still play it though. The game is suppose to be taken over by Frogster Interactive (sometime this year) which is the same publisher that publishes? Runes of Magic and once they take over the game, all its characters will be wiped and start anew with regular updates and whatnot

If you sniff the cd-box this game came in long enough, you'll get high as a kite. I think it's got something to do with the glue they used. The game itself looks alright, but while encountering foes it does not feel like you're actually hitting them, the same feeling chiropractors get when the bones make the cracky noise. The rotating spell system feels kind of clumsy too. The hooved creatures are obviously a world of warcraft "draenei" spinoff. other than that, good effort.

9,2/10 nice tutorial, video quality is great too. You can die then you jump off from somethere high :D thats cool :D. You can attack multiple targets at the same time, you dont have to click on with mouse to select it :) you just enter attack mode. :)

I was on Dravhare. Of course, you are right, community is awful now. I only played again for a few days but it must be typical f2p USA crowd I suppose, rude and ignorant to the core. I found the game laggy and my ping indeed very high compared to how it was. So its not "my PC" if you experienced it too. Its hard for me to move on since I honestly love the game and I have no guild/friends ties to push me from it. But seeing it left in limbo like this is an agony... I wish I could just let go :(

Which server were you playing on? I tried to play a bit on Acclaim servers too a little while ago, but the feeling is not here anymore. Our guild has moved on, the community is completely different than it was a few months ago, and the servers are laggy as hell for us europeans...

Absolutely, I agree. I fell in love with TCoS the first time since my first MMO.... you know the kind of love-at-first-sight that you dont really expect to find again. Spellborn did that for me. The thought that it might be totally revamped to fit Korean F2P market hurts as hell. I couldnt find any other game with the same feeling so I logged back again after many months of anger. It didnt change, yet, I am probably hoping it will not against all my better judgment. Meh, time will show :(

They were fired when the dev company (Spellborn Works) bankrupt yes. And I have total respect for every one of them who worked on Spellborn, as I've been telling them on their last days at Spellborn. And the worst part of the story for me is not really that the game is going F2P, but that it will be re-developped by a korean team while the creators of this game have to get new jobs. That really sucks.

Well if it does it is a bug then. The original devellopers of Spellborn told us back in beta and months ago before the EU servers were closed that the wolf shape was not supposed to give any speed boost (there's a morale buff, but no physique buff like there is as a niler). And I'm pretty sure that I've read a patch note saying that they've fixed the bug making the wolf faster months ago. Maybe it's broken again tho, I wouldn't know as I'm not playing anymore.

Nice video...So bad so many people had to wait for all the devs to be fired and the game to turn into F2P to try it out and see how great it is. P.S: you don't run faster as a wolf, even if it looks like it. The only shift that makes you run faster is the niler shape at lvl 35. :P

u won't get pk'd constantly in the noob zones like in other games, and 9.9 lvl cap is plenty, what do you expect them to give the whole game away for free? Ever play EQ2, the free trial 14-day is just some newb island you're on 'till like lvl 5, no1 complains about that. Here you get to see one of the major cities, play around with different archetypes and disciplines until you find one you like, and then when you're ready for a main you can pay to play.

I think it is worth downloading for the experience. The combat in this game is unique and very fun. Everything else is typical MMO fodder. Since it's free to download and free to play till level 9.9 you really have nothing to lose if you give it a shot.

It is especially at low levels and there are some start up bugs they never fixed so you may have to log on a few times. I liked Void Seers the most.. then rune mages and tricksters. Most of the people who are online are in the max level areas so yeh it will be barren for a while..... i would play if there were more people... currently Im playing face of mankind which isnt a bad freebie either.

This game rocks! And i'm in love with it's combat system. It feals kind of "real". And it depends on your own reflexes and the players experience. Not just on the loot, the next armorset, the level or something. And i really like that. Killed lvl 30 monsters with my lvl 12 character. U just need to know how. ^^ It's also cool to give your character the look u want to give him or her. Causual Games FTL! Spellborn FTW! ^^ Have a nice day!

people who don't know anything should keep their mouthes close. this video only shows the very beginning at lvl 3...you dont have any skills there and the player in this vidoe doesnt use the battlesystem...you can dodge attacks and turn around and it makes you alot better compared to players who fight like in WoW. Spellborn is COMPLETELY free. thanks for spreading wrong information.. just go to the official site and find out. It's WAYYYY better than any other MMORPG I've played up to now, graphics look freaking SWEET even though it's not the newest, I'd say it's a mixture of Gothic, Morrowind and World of Warcraft.
