I think the flaw in the problem is thinking that you have a 33% chance to initially pick the door with the car GIVEN the knowledge that the host will always show a GOAT after you pick. So the illusion is that you have 3 doors to choose from when in fact it really comes down to only 2 doors period. The door that you picked and the one that the hosts decides keep closed. 50/50 I understand the logic behind thinking it's 66% but it's not.

The problem's the same if you DON'T open that door (keep your door or take BOTH of these other doors), but that one little twist of wording blows apart the intuitive approach with dynamite. I wonder how many of these errors I make every day without realizing it. Consolation prize: The 50/50 guess is only off by 16%. It's a fairly small bias with only 3 doors.

We know the host will remove a goat, but we don't know which, and since the host only affects the goats and they only have 2 possible states (picked by host {reducing it's chance to be picked by you to 0%} or not picked by host {leaving it's chance to be picked by you shared with the car}), the only math i can think of that works with the problem is: 100%(choice)=50%(car)+(50% or 0%)+(0% or 50%). The only absolute is that the host will reduce a goat to 0%

Hey Pete, Thanks for the reply. I tried the reflow , fired the computer up and nothing. About a minute later I had video. It ran for about an hour than I shut it down to test it. Did this about four times then on the next try, nothing. The blink code is saying it's the CPU. What do you think? Thanks

Hi, sorry to bother again but some reports about ignited flux are real scary. Is the stuff you mentioned safe with open flame, too or just recommendable with a Rework station cause you didn't mentioned it in the vid at all? Did nVidia use highlead solder on the older dv9000 models (Geforce 7600), too and if so is 210°C the right temp then (or 220° like mentioned below)? (leadfree solder in newer models is supposed to require 230-240 for 40-50secs for a good reflow-job), thanks a lot!

@a98gsxr Well when I used a torch I used a thermal gauge. Now I use an InfraRed rework station that has digital temp control for a perfect reflow. Its the only way to be 100% sure you have it right. 220C is where you want to be. If you run into issues send it our way we will get it working for you. All the best, -Pete

What happened is that we took off from Bob Hope Airport in Burbank when the landing gear didn't retract, We were supposed to land in JFK. The captain felt it nessesary to land at LAX after burning most if not all the fuel upon landing so that the damage would be minimal. No one was hurt and the landing vibrated at most but nethertheless, it was smooth. We got to watch our own landing on the head rest monitors. And all this time I felt okay with this. JetBlue is the best! Always!
