@ADMediaEmpire No, a lot more changed, just couldn't git it in 500 characters. Have you read the books? Harry's eye color is just as important as his scar, I'm surprised they didn't change it from a lightning bolt to a dolphin. Like I said, they changed Hermione's character. Why not make her male, 7 ft tall, extremely stupid, hateful, and not even like Ron or Harry. That would mean their escapades would all fail because Hermione helps them out a lot along the way.

@ADMediaEmpire A little different? Hardly. But I do understand what you mean, but some of the things are just stupid. Why change some characters. For example: Whenever Ron, Harry and Hermione were caught in the Devil's Snare, Hermione started freaking out and panicking because she didn't have any wood. In the movie she was completely calm and went through everything perfectly. That is changing the character because Hermione isn't good under pressure. That's like changing Harry's eye color.

@TheDeathsRequiem The whole point of the FILMS was to make something a little different. You can't have the film exactly the same as the book, otherwise it would be exactly the same. They have to mix it up a bit, it may not live up to the books, but your imagination is more than a film could ever be, so that's the only way it could ever be different. Regardless of what any one person feels about Dumbledore being gay, what I can't understand is how some people claim it has had a negative effect on their enjoyment or fondness of the series. Why? There's absolutely no inclination in the books that would even imply that he is gay, so what does it matter that he is? At least nowadays we try to give logical reasons for what we think is right or wrong, rather than relying purely on obedience to tradition. The common sense approach today is that something is wrong only if it has a victim - if it causes suffering to someone against their will - and that therefore there is no reason to condemn Dumbledore to eternal hellfire. The problem with Gambon's dumbledore certainly wasn't the actor, it was the costume department. His appearance is what puts people off. If they gave him a white elegant beard, colouful robes and ditched that stupid hat, then his perfomance would have seemed so much better , like it was in HBP. Please don't bash Gambon as he is a sweet, funny and clever old actor who doesn't deserve such criticism. Bash the costume designers, they screwed up.

Oh honestly. Gambon's Dumbledore is the best Dumbledore for any Harry Potter film. If everything in the movies were wordforword sceneforscene like the books, they'd be dull and uninteresting. Films are visual and need that immense emotion that people like Gambon bring. To compare a book with its film adaptation, even though they are in the same fictional universe, is just a waste of time. There must be differences. A more plausible comparison would be an older film and its modern remake.

@Kachukeland Well, I have to disagree with you about Hermione. In POA her characterisation was WAY OFF, I think mainly because Alfonso Cuaron let her give ideas for how she should be portrayed. All that "girl power" "is that really what my hair looks like from the back" rubbish was not Hermione at all. And of course Ron was a whimpering jerk in that film. honestly, I think Gambon was getting better...closer than he was in the 3rd and 4th, that was just awful...Richard Harris really was ideal, and I'm sorry he passed away so early on in the series. He was perfect. Gambon is just too harsh and like...SCARY...but all that said I do think he was closer in the 5 and 6th films...too bad his character is dead now so he won't improve anymore at all...accept for like one more inevitable scene in the final film.

@AngelCakeEnterprises it's funny that you say that... my friends and I have made HP fan flicks before, and you don't really feel that stupid if you're secluded... but my other friend and I made one for school... and there were so many people walking around between classes, and yeah, you do kinda feel silly... but legit actors are used to acting the part so I'm sure looking weird is part of their jobs and they eventually get used it to :p

@FireBeasty I misread what you said. Spells can annihilate or ricochet off of each other, but they do not connect like that when they meet, only if Priori Incantatem is occurring, or about to occur. It was simply a movie thing. They did it for effect, nothing more. A wizard tug-o-war.

@edwin12387 I think the first of the Deathly Hallows films will probably end @ the very beginning of the Battle for Hogwarts. Right when Lord Voldemort's voice rings out in the sky above the grounds, about sending Harry out or everyone dies... Then, the next film opens with the battle proper and concludes, well: with the end. (not trying to spoil for those who can't , or won't, read.)

Auctually If u buy HP7 book to read, all these killing is set up by Dumbledore, also because of dumbledore know that Snipe is gonna dead by a spell by Voldemort plus dumbledore know that Malfoy is not gonna kill him as you can see in HP6, so dumbledore ask snipe to kill him instead of Malfoy, so this would made voldemort has more trust to snipe, and in the end harry can finish his job. wanna know ore buy the HP7 book and read it, it contain everything that happen in the pass.

Gambon was only bad in Goblet of Fire, because the director didn't know what the hell he was doing. Honestly, overall, Gambon makes for a better (certainly more eccentric) Dumbledore than Richard Harris, and his performance in Half-Blood Prince was truly exceptional - I can't see Harris doing that utterly phenomenal of a job in that movie. GoF Dumbledore is bad, bad, bad. But it's the filmmakers' fault, not the actor's. That said, this is still fucking hilarious.

@gatorbabe041 Richard Harris never picked up the books either, so I have a feeling that he and Michael Gambon were both just doing whatever the directors wanted them to. I have no idea why DD is the one character all the directors seem to differ on, but he literally changes every time a director changes. He's gentle in SS and COS, he's eccentric in POA, he's angry in GOF, and he's very serious in OOTP and HBP. Honestly, I think Richard Harris might have been the same way, had he lived.
