A terabyte is a thousand gigabytes (10^12 bytes using the SI standard, 2^40 using the traditional binary notion of it). Nothing TOO crazy though. You can buy individual drives that large now. Heck, I have a 2 TB raid 5 cluster thats a good 5 years old now. Think 1429 full CDs, 213 full DVDs, or 20 full dual-layered blueray disks (that or over a quarter million 4MB MP3s, heh).

What about the fact that technology like the internet and DBS (deep brain stimulation), implants for hearing/vision etc is already relatively cheap and accessible? As for decision making thats simple scripting nothing new there its just slightly more complex nowaday's. well just like a lot of jets, you wouldnt take turns at mach 2. Speed has nothing to do with it unless there were no windscreen, but that would never happen, its G's that take it out of the pilot. Computers control a lot of whats going on in the jet now. That doesnt mean man isnt in control, just has a lot more help.

As for atomic bombs, it's no one's invention, neither US or Germany. It uses the same system that the V2 rockets did- that is, small vanes are in the exhaust of the jets/propellers that by turning them, turns the whole unit. FS 1 has the same problem that all multipurpose vehicles have- they can do it all, but not very well at doing just one thing. The FS 1 in a dogfight would be swatted from the sky like a fly being hit by a brick
