I'm not sure I'd go straight out and say that "MAYNARD WRITES A SONG AGAINST CHRISTIANITY, THEREFORE HE HATES RELIGION." It seems to me like, in this particular song, he's bashing a Christian's "Blind Faith" as opposed to bashing religion as a whole. I mean, I personally believe that religion is unnecessary, at times evil, and a method to feed the power-hungry individuals. But that's not what Keenan's pushing here. He's telling his mother to question her faith, a message that's easily broadened.
